For the last several months I've been working on a database for Pathfinder (1st edition) items. The goal is for this database to index every item found in the Pathfinder RPG books in a searchable, filterable database.

We've got a druid and a ranger that both have wolves for companions. As our group has no traditional tank fighter we tend to use them quite a lot in combat. I'm about to take up a collection to get them some equipment.
My question is: what exactly can they use? I'd like to get them some form of light weight armor/barding that won't slow them down too much (leather most likely - especially for the druid's wolf). My co-DM has mentioned magic collars, but do wolves (or other quadrapeds for that matter) have any other 'magic item slots'?
Thanks.

Special: Feats that are meant for familiars can be switched out for a familiar’s default feats (as listed in the familiar’s statistics) if the familiar meets the prerequisites. Such feat replacements must be made when the PC first acquires a new familiar, and-like all new feats from supplemental sources-the new feats should be approved by the GM before being integrated into play.
